No small print. No tricks.

Last updated: 25 October 2026

I hate advertising, remember? So no small print and no tricks here. This page explains, in plain words, what happens with the few personal details you share through robindhondt.com, and what you can do about it.

The short version: I only collect what I need to answer you or to tell you when the book is out. I never sell your data. And you can ask me to delete it any time.

Who else handles your data

A few trusted services help me run this website. They only process your data on my behalf and under a data processing agreement:

  • My hosting provider, which keeps the website and its server logs: Netlify.
  • My email provider, for messages to hello@robindhondt.com: Combell.
  • My mailing tool, for the “Tell me when it's done” list: Netlify, through its built-in forms.
  • My accountant, only for invoices and bookkeeping.

Some of these services may store data outside the European Union, for example in the United States. In that case your data is protected by the European Commission's approved safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

I never share your data with anyone else, unless the law requires it.

Cookies and the video

This website only uses the cookies it needs to work. No advertising cookies, no tracking you across the internet.

  • The keynote video from Chennai is a YouTube video. It only loads when you click play, in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Once you press play, YouTube (Google) may set its own cookies; see Google's privacy policy.
  • Fonts are served from this website itself, so your browser doesn't contact Google to load them.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Your rights

It's your data, so you're in charge. You have the right to:

  • see which data I have about you;
  • have it corrected if it's wrong;
  • have it deleted;
  • limit how I use it, or object to it;
  • receive it in a usable file, or have it sent to someone else;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing.

Just mail hello@robindhondt.com. I'll answer within one month, usually much faster.

Not happy with how I handle your data? Tell me first, so I can fix it. You can also file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, contact@apd-gba.be, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
